The 6th Boarding Meeting of IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research (IMIBR) was held at the Wangkezhen Building at Peking University on May 24th, 2016.

Lore Harp McGovern, Co-founder of the IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT; Prof. Robert Desimone, Director of McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT; Hugo Shong, Executive Vice President of International Data Group (IDG), President of IDG Asia/China, Founding General Partner of IDG Technology Venture Investment (IDGVC) and Founding General Partner of IDG China Media Fund; Jie Wang, Vice President of PKU; Prof. Yi Rao, Director of IMIBR; Prof. Chao Tang, Director of Center for Quantitative Biology; Prof. Xiaoliang Sunney Xie , Director of Biodynamic Optical Imaging Center attended the board meeting.

Jie Wang, on behalf of the PKU, expressed gratitude for funding IMIBR to research on the fundamental processes underlying brain function and uncovering mechanisms of brain disorders. And the Peking University will continue to support IMIBR with IDG/McGovern together in future.

Professor Yi Rao gave the yearly overview of IMIBR, covering every aspect of developments, including recruiting, funding, core facility constructions, academic activities etc. 

Finally, four new excellent PIs made a brief research introduction for board members.
